American Airlines Flagship Lounge Miami (MIA) Review 2023: Is It Worth It? (2026)

The American Flagship Lounge Miami is a decent option for travelers, but it falls short of the competition's standards. While it's better than the Admirals Club, it lacks the luxury and excitement that other flagship lounges offer. The lounge's decor is uninspiring, and the overall experience feels like a glorified cafeteria. Despite its size, the lounge's layout is unusual, with a cutout in the middle, and the food and drink options are self-service, which is a step down from the competition. The entry requirements are more liberal, but that's a trade-off for the quality. The lounge's location is also a bit of a hike from the security checkpoint, which is a downside for those originating in Miami. The staff is friendly, and the lounge is open for most departures, but it's not a place that gets me excited. The new Flagship Lounge in Philadelphia is a step in the right direction, but it's still not enough to make me feel like I'm getting a premium experience. Overall, the American Flagship Lounge Miami is a passable option, but it's not a destination that will leave a lasting impression.
